The Inside Sales Support Manager/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inside sales processes, including quoting, order management, scheduling, and pricing coordination. This role ensures seamless collaboration between inside sales, outside sales representatives, and customers, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage inside sales operations to support quoting, order entry, scheduling, and scheduling.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and professional communication with customers and internal teams.
- Continuously evaluate and improve work-flows and interdepartmental coordination (e.g., Estimating, Truss Production, Delivery).
- Resolve customer issues with professionalism and escalate internally when necessary.
- Adjust staffing and work-flow to meet fluctuating customer demands in coordination with outside sales and management.
- Support purchasing by managing special orders and fill-in purchases with appropriate approvals.
- Develop and track performance metrics to assess and improve team productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Participate in recruitment and development of inside support staff for current and future positions.
- Collaborate as a key point of contact with Outside Sales Representatives and Sales Leadership to improve service levels, enhance efficiencies, maximize profitability, and represent the interests of the inside support team.
- Other duties as required by company management.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based in a comfortable indoor
- Minimal physical demands; occasional lifting of light
- Rare overnight travel (less than 10%)
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an inside sales role preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in the Lumber and Building Materials (LBM) industry.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.

- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP software preferred.
